Studio Matejka

Studio Matejka is a laboratory ensemble investigating the potential of the expressive body within the actor’s craft. The Studio began its activities in 2010 as a physical theatre laboratory exploring performance techniques across borders between performance genres, training techniques and individual expression/collective resonance. Through practical investigation, the performers work to develop the strength, agility and dexterity to physically ‘speak’ through a diverse range of ideas, images and vocabularies. The Studio is based at the Grotowski Institute.
