Yves Lebreton

Yves Lebreton was born in Paris in 1946. He studied classical music: guitar, piano and cello (1962–1966), graphic arts and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris (1963–1966) and corporeal mime in the school of Etienne Decroux in Paris (1964–1969). In 1969 in Denmark he founded the Theatre Atelier Studio 2 (under the auspices of the Inter-Scandinavian Laboratory Theatre for the Art of the Actor) and was its director until 1975. In 1976 he founded Théâtre de l’Arbrein in Paris, which in 1981 was transferred to Tuscany, where in 1983, in an old renovated farm, he created l’Albero, the International Centre of Theatrical Education, Research and Creation.
